If you are looking for just the tools, this is a good buy. Good quality thus far. The product packaging and storage case are total piece of junk though so if you want the tools and plan to use them often I suggest getting a better case. As noted in the other reviews there are fasteners to latch the case shut, but they come separately to be clipped into place (also junk imo as they are think cheap plastic which I anticipate to break quickly). We ordered this as a Christmas present and the clear cover (which is screwed onto the face of the open storage case as shown in the photos) that kept the pieces in place cracked and broke sending pieces everywhere once the box was opened. We pieced it back together, but that was a tad annoying to have to even bother with if the packaging were worthwhile. Additionally all the pieces don't stick in place as they should in a standard tool kit. Each time the kit is opened many of pieces fall out if the user is unaware. 4 star tools, 0 star packaging... so 3 stars I guess.

Great all around tool set with a quality finish. Combination wrenches feel great and are made to last. 3/8" and 1/4" Ratchet are also very well made. They come with a socket lock to prevent sockets from popping off like the old days. All sockets are easy to read and are listed in both metric and in inches. Case is well made and holds everything almost in place, excluding the sockets which are not securely in place. Despite other reviews case DOES come with black latches to lock the case, as seen in the photos. They are attached to the plastic wrap over the case. Just snap them on and your done. No instructions for snapping them on, only takes a second to figure out. The Crescent 70-piece tool set is probably the best bang for the buck, period. Mine was purchased for $49.12 on Amazon and it was absolutely worth every single penny. Must buy for those who already own pliers, adjustable wrenches, etc! Thank you Cooper Hand Tools!

I REALLY like this set of wrenches. The first thing I noticed is how heavy this set is... there is a lot of steel in these tools, and I was glad to see that not everyone is skimping on steel in their products these days. They are well organized in the plastic storage case, and don't flop around or fall out when handling the case (note to Crescent, a black case wouldn't look as inexpensive as this gray one does to me). The wrenches have a beautiful chrome finish to them, and the two ratchets make such a great clicking sound that I found myself subconsciously spinning them around in my hands for long stretches. I've used the set on a few different projects and have always found whatever I needed to tackle and finish the task at hand. You won't be disappointed with this one... a great look, feel, and function for a reasonable price!

I have owned this kit for about 5 years. Very practical and tools are durable. The guy I bought it from says that Crescent's warranty, is send it in and they will send one back. I have never had to. I build log cabins and other handy work. This is a go to box. Only two complaints 1. The 4 tabs holding unit closed are flimsy-Only one tab left 2. Some of my pliers are missing-one is at the bottom of a lake in Canada I paid 100.00 for mine which I think was a good value

I received this tool set from my girlfriend as an early xmas gift. I was happy with the quality of the product. I mainly wanted it for working on my motorcycle or doing small jobs on my car, so the fact that it includes both SAE and Metric tools is very nice. You can tell they are good quality, the wrenches have a nice weight to them, so far I have had no issues. Very good price, isn't much more than the bargin bin brand sets you might find at your local walmart, so the extra cost is well worth it. Highly recommend this set for doing small jobs yourself.
